Top distinction for the Genius Burger at the Healthy Diet Awards 2022

The company Nikolopoulou received three significant distinctions at this year’s Healthy Diet Awards by Boussias Communications, the only Greek institution that recognizes innovation in the food industry for health and wellness.

Specifically, in the Healthy Food Product category, the Veganact Genius plant-based Burger received the highest score in the entire section, winning the Platinum award.

In the “Free from or Low” Food Products category, the Veganact Genius Burger was honored with the Gold award

Additionally, the Veganact Vegetable-Superfoods Schnitzel also received a Silver award in the Plant–based Products category.

The Judging Committee of the Healthy Diet Awards consisted of 21 distinguished personalities from the fields of nutrition and health.

The Veganact brand of the Greek company Nikolopoulou was founded in 2016, introducing the first certified 100% vegan meals to the Greek market. In 2019, the knowledge and passion for plant-based eating, as well as the experience in reconstituting agricultural products, led the company Nikolopoulou to create the innovative Genius by Veganact plant-based meat alternative product line, in collaboration with research centers and academic institutions. It is the first line of its kind produced in Greece and includes nutritious products, particularly rich in protein and very low in saturated fats and sugars. Veganact products have gained the trust of consumers domestically with their presence in all major supermarket chains, as well as many smaller ones.
